My Nemesis Prime repaint of RTS Optimus Prime.

So I have finally finished my Nemesis Prime paint. I used the RTS Optimus Prime toy and painting it into my version of Nemesis. I used Testors enamels which take longer to dry but I had only had time to do a few minutes each day. This is my first full body paint job, the other was minor paint job on Beast Hunters Predaking to make him more accurate to the box art. I will be ordering some Decepticon repo labels to finish him. I'm currently repainting a ez collection Takara Megatron tank into Autobot Slammer for the Titan class Metroplex. Already half way on that!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween to all citizens of Cybertron. Well this was last years attempt at some Transformers pumpkins. As you can see the Autobots are looking a little chunky and the Decepticons are foxy. So this year I narrowed it down to one carving, bought some clay carving tools for $13 at the local Michael's and I feel that it went alot smoother this year.

So this year I took an image out of the Trasformers G1 Season 3 episode 'Dark Awakening' and carved me a Zombie Prime. Both Halloween and Transformer themes. It took me about 4 hours of hard work so I hope you bots enjoy it and maybe get inspired to create your own next year.

Talking about customization, I am currently working on a Reveal the Shield Lazer Optimus Prime, repainting him in a Nemisis style adding my own personally tastes. It's taking quite some time probably been done in the next couple weeks, I've been only getting a couple hours at a time to work on it, but its getting close. Till next time ... Roll out!

Hot Spot

This is Hot Spot Chinese release in Toys R Us Canada. I love this toy, the colour, the transformation is simple, and the water cannon. This toy resembles its G1 counter part with some modern stylings. I borrowed the fireball cannons from my 1986 Defensor and they fit perfectly in this Hot Spot's hands, also they can plug in the back exhaust ports it which makes it look like part of the toy. The fave sculpt says I'm a Badass, but also says I'm a here to save lives. The bright sky blue is a little bit brighter than the G1 Hot Spot which could just be the age of the toy but I love it. Fireball decal and all the details, like dials and panels and pink siren lights make it extra special. Hot Spot's shoulder doors can rotate around for different looks. If you love 80's color schemes and retro redo's get this toy.

Transformers the series 1984 interesting mix ups, background easter eggs and bad stereotyping.

Its been along time since I have posted anything, I do plan on getting back to reviews since things at work have been slowing down. This is a screen cap from the Transformers series 1984, Season 2 episode 11 mircobots. Preceptor changes sides for a couple frames, its hard to notice, it took me a couple times to notice it. Preceptor is talking to Optimus and the camera goes from Optimus to Preceptor and back to Optimus and in that brief second the insignia changes. Go check it out for yourself!

I noticed this in Transformers season 2 epsiode 25 Make Tracks. Its background advertising for the upcoming Transformers movie, which beats the Bay versions any day. I still have the soundtrack on my phone for days I need cheering up or gearing up.

This an example of bad stereotyping in Transfomers season 3 episode 15 Thief in the Night. A north African nation of Carbombya. Ya its bad but it happend and I thought it would interessting to share with Archives.

Protectobots 1986 Parts of Defensor

Muaddib Prime reporting . . . This is Hot Spot the torso of Defensor, this toy is retro to the bone with the hot blue colour and orange fireball stickers on the side. I love this colour, it is the number one reason why Hot Spot is so cool (besides the massive fireball cannons) I have see other modes besides is firetruck mode, a carry all for his other buddies in the group and a so called repair bay but I just have his robot and vehicle modes shown here. The movement of the arms, legs and head are decent his hands are fixed in place and slide out from inside the shoulders. This ladder slides out in three sections, so about the ladder shown here is one third of total size. I have him with Defensor's feet pieces because he stands better that way and looks good too which helps, but don't count them staying in while moving him around.

This is Blades, he can be an arm or a leg of Defensor. He is equipped with a small white hand gun and two white side cannons. Very basic transformation, legs slide out and arms pop out from the side, the only movement is in the arms. Remember these figures ( Except the pose ablity of Hot Spot) are all pretty much building blocks for Defensor and aren't really built for separate display. The blades can swing into one blade, in a bio for the character his blades are a sword weapon used in battle.

This little guy is First Aid the medic of the group, I mean every good team needs to have one. He also can become and arm or a leg but I prefer leg. Hes got a black gun in robot mode and in ambulance mode he's got a small hole at the back which and fit one of the double barrel guns. Arms are (surprise) the only thing are movable on this figure. I like the simple vehicle mode it feels a lot like a small G1 Ironhide.

Groove his the peace loving pacifist of the group he is supposed to come with two black cannons much like Blades's white ones. So instead I put the exhaust pipes on him from Hot Spot. In robot mode his feet are move able and his arms are too, but a little unstable as they are on a metal bar. Also some ware on the chrome from the previous owner. He has a black gun that fits in his sideways grip. I like him as the Arm piece because I can make him as long as Blades and give Defensor and bigger tougher look.

Streetwise is the last of the bunch. Hes got a skinny robot mode which I like, not too much bulk. Also has a black gun and in police car mode I can fit the other double barrel gun in his back end which makes him look like something from mad max. Currently hes a leg even though I have to pop the arms out a little bit to accommodate the leg joint of Hot Spot. Overall I really enjoy the final mode of Defensor and I am always looking for new ways to display him and I keep finding them. Muaddib Prime ending transmission to Teletran 1 more updates to come ... lots more, ROLL OUT !!!

Defensor G1 1986

Muaddib Prime reporting ... first report Defensor G1 1986 combiners. This toy was a surprise to me, at first I was really into the more modern Transformers. When I got it as a present I wasn't sure about it and it didn't really match the rest of my collection, but it has grown on me. There is a lot to discover about this toy, especially the many leg to arm combos and the many ways to hide the loose weapons not in use. This toy is not complete two black guns that go with Groove are missing but I am okay with that and don't miss them. My favourite parts are the double barrel guns that you have to place sideways gangster style which gives him a more bad ass don't mess with me look. The transformations are basic and the only movement is in the arms and head. Couldn't really figure out what to do with Hot Spots fireball cannons so I put them at the side, until I purchased the Toy R Us Chinese edition Generations Hot Spot (whom I will post in the future) looks really awesome duel wielding fireball cannons. Next post more detail on the Autobots that make up Defensor... Muaddib Prime out.
